Salem Book Buddies

Over 300 volunteers are signed up and only 35 more are needed!

Salem Book Buddies is a special program which matches third grade students with community members. Our volunteer community members will purchase a book for their assigned students several times per year. You will receive your student’s first name, age, and sex. You then purchase a book for your student, write a letter to go with the book, and get it to the Book Buddies program for delivery to the classroom. Links will be provided for reading level book suggestions. You will not actually meet your matched student, but you will get to know them through letter writing.

Target dates for collecting books are November 22, March 13, and May 15. Please sign up only if you can commit to all three books.
