SPUR
SPUR is a Marblehead based nonprofit established to cultivate a Community of Doers through an array of multi-generational volunteer activities, youth enrichment programs and special drives in the communities of Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott.
We strive to host a variety of offerings - understanding not all members of the community share the same interests when it comes to service. As such, our efforts take into consideration multiple ways to contribute - so that something speaks to everyone's heart. Our volunteer opportunities are appropriate for children as young as four, are only two hours or less and there is no ongoing commitment. Below are just a few of our current opportunities. Plant, weed or harvest at our SPUR Community Roots Garden at St. Andrews
Created pillowcases with us at our Sew Good Sessions for our Holiday Cheer Drive (No sew experience needed!)
Help us prevent food waste by delivering food to local food pantry and group homes with our Food Rescue Initiative
Make food at home to be served at 2 local agencies that support adults experiencing homelessness through our Meal Service Program-
