PALS Animal Life Savers, Salem's only all-volunteer, nonprofit feline rescue group, seeks volunteers for feeding, cleaning, and socialization (FCS) at their PetSmart Adoption Center. FCS includes cleaning the cat cages, restocking supplies, keeping the Adoption Center clean and neat, and providing the cats with supervised play time. FCS is done twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, and shifts typically last 1-2 hours. FCS volunteers must be over 18 and able to commit to one scheduled shift (morning or evening) per week. Shifts are covered in pairs, so you will have a partner. PALS is also in need of foster caregivers and volunteers with backgrounds in marketing, graphic design, or nonprofit law. Visit www.palscats.org or the Adoption Center at 10 Traders Way in Salem (just off Highland Avenue) to complete a volunteer application.
