The Northeast Animal Shelter is a no-kill animal shelter located in Salem.
The shelter has opportunities helping with cats, community outreach, and with:
Walking dogs and socializing cats
Greeting guests
Answering phones
Assisting adoption counselors
Monitoring animal rooms
Training and socializing dogs
Assisting kennel staff with cleaning cages, handling animals, and grooming
Assisting office staff with filing or stocking shelves
Overall support with laundry and cleaning
Special events such as shelter information tables at adoption promotions
School and nursing home visitation
Foster care for special needs animals
Transporting animals from the airport or veterinarians
