Lifebridge works to offer men and women the opportunities they need to end their homelessness.
There are several ways to help:
In the Kitchen
Cook or serve a meal, lunch or dinner, once a month or even once a year. Contact Karen Andrew at 978-744-0500 or k.andrew@lifebridgesalem.org.
In the Thrift Shop
Help during store hours (Monday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm, Thursdays until 7 pm) or to sort and price items. Contact Ann Richardson at 978-745-2459.
At Workshops
To help clients achieve self-sufficiency, Lifebridge offers a variety of supplemental programs such as a women's group, art therapy, budgeting, anger management, and AA but there is so much more that could be done to expand the horizons of homeless clients. Lifebridge would like to offer other kinds of activities such as crafting or creative writing, singing or sailing, that will enhance the day-to-day lives of clients. Volunteers are needed to prepare and deliver single session or multi-week activity programs that are suitable for Lifebridge's transitory population and accessible for all skill levels. Volunteers with a background working with homeless and/or mentally ill adults are preferred. Contact Jill Brown at 978-744-0500.
