Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service
January 21, 2019
The Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service is an annual call to service on Martin Luther King, Jr Day. The Day of Service is managed by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency charged with community improvement through service and volunteering.
The Day of Service promotes and facilitates volunteering on a national scale. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to volunteer, and the Corporation for National and Community Service provides resources to support those who would like to organize a project of their own. The Day of Service is scheduled to honor the spirit of community service and engagement of Martin Luther King, Jr.
See the Corporation for National and Community Service, Points of Light, and Boston Cares for up to date volunteer opportunities, or organize your own service project (and let us know at info@salemvolunteers.org!).
