FAFSA Day

LEAP for Education is looking for volunteers to help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
LEAP for Education is partnering with Salem Academy Charter School in collaboration with FAFSA Day Massachusetts. This is a volunteer driven program providing free help statewide to students and families looking to complete the FAFSA.
FAFSA Day will take place Sunday, November 4 at Salem Academy Charter School (45 Congress Street, Salem) and will be open to the public from 10am to 1pm. Families can drop in anytime and fill out the FAFSA form on their own or with assistance from staff and volunteers.
Volunteers will answer questions regarding the FAFSA that families might have, show students how to begin their FAFSA applications, and ensure that families leave the event having completed and submitted their applications.
Training is required for all volunteers on Thursday, November 1 from 6 to 8pm at Salem Academy Charter School to ensure that each volunteer is comfortable with the forms and the requirements. If you cannot attend this mandatory training, contact LEAP to make alternate arrangements.
