SUMMARY:Salem Jazz and Soul Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 2019 Salem Jazz and Soul Festival will take place Saturday\, August 17 and Sunday\, August 18. \nVolunteer shifts run 2 to 4 hours and are varied. Help is needed in the beer garden\, at the education tent\, for equipment transport\, merchandise sales\, for gate\, stage\, and general grounds help\, and more. \nPlease note that some positions may require a short follow up interview\, in which case the organizers will be in touch via e-mail. \nFor more information and to sign up\, see the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival volunteer page. SUMMARY:North Shore Cancer Walk
DESCRIPTION:The 2019 North Shore Cancer WALK will take place on Sunday\, June 23. For more than two decades\, the North Shore Cancer WALK has brought together a community focused on raising funds for the fight against cancer. To date\, the walks have raised over $20 million. This year that mission will again be celebrated as entertainers and supporters along the route lend a festive air to an unforgettable journey\, driven by determination and inspired by hope. \nVolunteers are needed in a variety of capacities\, and shifts are available from 6:30am. \nContact Susan Lausier at cancerwalk@partners.org or sign up online.
