DESCRIPTION:If you love the beach\, volunteer for Salem Sound Coastwatch’s Adopt a Beach program! Adopt a Beach volunteers serve as beachkeepers\, helping to keep their adopted beach clean on a year-round basis. They prevent trash and litter from becoming marine debris\, which pollutes the water. \nBeachkeepers are also the eyes of the beach. They observe and report on conditions on their beach\, and they are trained to look for storm damage\, sources of contamination\, and invasive species. \nBecome a beachkeeper at your favorite beach on your own time schedule.
