SUMMARY:FAFSA Day
DESCRIPTION:Join LEAP for Education for FAFSA Day on Sunday\, November 3. \nVolunteers will answer questions regarding the FAFSA that families might have\, show students how to begin their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications\, and ensure that families leave the event having completed and submitted their applications\, as well as having an understanding of follow up steps. Knowledge/experience with the FAFSA application is be helpful\, but is not required. \nThe event is open to students from 10am until 1pm\, and volunteers are asked to be there from 9:15am to 1:15pm. \nThere will be a required training session at Salem High School on the second floor of the library on Monday\, October 28 from 6 to 8pm. If you cannot attend this mandatory training just let us know so we can try to make alternate arrangements. At the event\, there will be a FAFSA expert\, as well as staff with plenty of experience helping families fill out the application. \nVolunteers who have missed the training will be sent a training video to become familiar with the FAFSA. \nContact Susan Ward at 978-740-6667 x105 or email sward@leap4ed.org.

SUMMARY:Harlem Wizards vs Salem\, MA
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 9\, the Harlem Wizards will be coming to Salem High School to play basketball against a team of Salem principals\, teachers\, and students. The proceeds will benefit all of the PTOs and PTAs throughout the City of Salem. \nVolunteers will be needed to collect tickets at the door\, as ushers and security to direct people to their sections\, and for cleanup after the game.
