The tour will be headquartered at the House of the Seven Gables and will feature the Historic Derby Street Neighborhood\, including several sites related to Nathaniel Hawthorne. \nTour guides will be stationed in a room of one of the houses featured on the tour\, where they will share information about the architecture\, history\, and decorations of the house (this information will be provided to you). Guide shifts will be: \n\nFriday\, November 30 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm;\nSaturday\, December 1 from 10:30am to 1pm and from 1 to 4:30pm;\nSunday\, December 2 from 11:30am to 2pm and from 2 to 4:30pm.\n\nAll tour guides will receive one free ticket to attend the tour. \nPlease see the list of tour guide responsibilities for more information. \nContact Alyssa at 978-745-0799 or alyssa@historicsalem.org or sign up online.

DESCRIPTION:Join Salem Main Streets for one the coldest and cheerful volunteer jobs of the year! Help decorate downtown Salem for the holidays. \nWork will be on Saturday\, December 1 from 8:30am until noon\, and volunteers are needed for the whole time or just an hour or two. \nVolunteers will be outside (possibly in the cold) for two to three hours\, and some volunteers will need to be comfortable climbing ladders. SUMMARY:SalemRecycles textile drive
DESCRIPTION:SalemRecycles\, Salem’s all-volunteer recycling committee\, will be holding its annual clothing and textile recycling drive on Saturday\, November 17. All dropped off items will be either reused through Goodwill retail stores or shredded and recycled into other items. \nVolunteers will greet residents\, direct cars\, unload textiles\, and answer questions.
