SUMMARY:Membership Committee Chair
DESCRIPTION:We have an exciting opportunity to serve as our Membership Committee Chair which is a Board of Directors position primarily responsible for developing our membership.  This position helps develop\, plan and execute community events to educate the public regarding our mission\, what role membership plays in the Society and to encourage community participation while growing our membership numbers and volunteer pool. \nAs Chair\, you meet with members interested in serving on the committee on a schedule that works for you and participate in monthly Board Meetings\, 2 Quarterly meetings and 1 Annual meeting.  Beyond that\, the management of the committee is yours to develop. \nThis role is generally a 1 or 2 year commitment and the time commitment is approximately 2 – 4 hours monthly. \nThis is a great opportunity for someone who loves to meet new people\, is outgoing and enjoys community engagement. You will be supported by great technology\, social media marketing and member management tools that are easy to use and help you be successful. \nConsider being part of a 145 year legacy of supporting women here in Salem\, forwarding the mission of affordable housing and empowering women to become independent and powerful!
