Pickup will be at Root with delivery to one or two senior housing locations in Salem. A few of the routes also include distribution (hanging meal bags on doors.)  \nDeliveries take place between 11:15 and 12:45 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A small hatchback or suv (or larger) is suggested for the two larger routes. CORIs are required for volunteers doing distribution inside the complexes. This position helps develop\, plan and execute community events to educate the public regarding our mission\, what role membership plays in the Society and to encourage community participation while growing our membership numbers and volunteer pool. \nAs Chair\, you meet with members interested in serving on the committee on a schedule that works for you and participate in monthly Board Meetings\, 2 Quarterly meetings and 1 Annual meeting.  Beyond that\, the management of the committee is yours to develop. \nThis role is generally a 1 or 2 year commitment and the time commitment is approximately 2 – 4 hours monthly. \nThis is a great opportunity for someone who loves to meet new people\, is outgoing and enjoys community engagement.
