SUMMARY:Hawthorne Hotel meal delivery program
DESCRIPTION:The Hawthorne Hotel will be delivering 50 meals to six of the Salem Public Schools to give out with the summer meals program. Volunteers are needed with vehicles large enough for 1-2 large coolers. Volunteers will drop the coolers off to the schools by 8:45 in time for the 9-11 distribution\, volunteers will also be needed to bring the coolers back to the Hawthorne at 11am. It’s likely a two person job to lift the coolers and bring them to the school staff unless the volunteer has a cart or dolly\, so pairs are encouraged to sign up. \nContact Kerry Murphy at kmurphy@salem.com or 978-619-5652.

DESCRIPTION:My Brothers Table in Lynn is in urgent need of volunteers during the coronavirus crisis.  Shift schedules are Mondays through Fridays 10:30am to 1pm\, 12:30 to 4pm\, and 3:30 to 6:15pm and Saturdays and Sundays 12 to 3pm and 2:30 to 5pm. \nThere will only be grab & go lunch and dinners with practices that allow social distancing for both guests and volunteers. \nFor more information or to volunteer\, call 781-595-3224. \n

DESCRIPTION:Help Root‘s meal delivery program get meals to local families in July and August.  Volunteers are needed to help distribute family meals provided by the Hawthorne Hotel at each of the Salem Public Schools grab & go summer meals sites from 9 to 11am every Monday\, Wednesday\, and Friday: \n\nBates School – side door to the cafeteria\, facing the playground\nCarlton Innovation School – main entrance\nCollins Middle School – main entrance\nHorace Mann Elementary School – second-floor entrance on the SHS side of the building\, near the field\nSaltonstall – behind the school at the cafeteria entrance by the playground\nWitchcraft Elementary School – main entrance\n\nIn addition\, a volunteer is needed to pick up food at the Hawthorne Hotel at 8:15 or 8:30 each service day. \nPlease contact Kerry Murphy at 978-317-3738 or kmurphy@salem.com for more information or to volunteer. \n
