Feet on the Street

Join Salem Main Streets for the first in its new Feet on the Street series to mobilize volunteers for various Main Streets projects.
For this first project, Main Streets is trying to raise awareness about accessibility and walkability in the downtown by identifying locations on our sidewalks that may not meet current ADA guidelines. Volunteers will be needed to go through town with pre-measured pool noodles to see where sidewalks are not comfortably passable.
Volunteers can choose an hour between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, July 27 to help.
